Toucan privacy policy
Effective 2026-09-25. This is the same policy shown inside the app, in the grown-up panel.
Toucan is an iPad app that rehearses standardized tests with children. It is made by Sideline HQ LLC.
What Toucan keeps. Each child's profile, settings and practice sessions, and which modules the iPad owns, as JSON files in the app's own folder on the iPad. That folder is excluded from iCloud and computer backups, so none of it is copied off the device.
What Toucan sends. Nothing, with one exception. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no account and no server of ours. The exception is purchases: when a grown-up buys or restores a module, and when the app checks which modules the iPad owns and what they cost, it asks Apple's App Store through StoreKit. None of that carries child data, and Apple processes it under Apple's own privacy policy.
What Toucan never does. It shows no ads, does no tracking, contains no third-party code, and fetches nothing from the internet to show a child. Every question, picture and recording ships inside the app. The one link the app opens is this page, and only after a grown-up passes the adult check.
Children's privacy. Toucan is made for children, and it collects no personal data from anyone. A child's name, grade and state, if a grown-up types them, stay on the iPad. We do not know who uses the app.
Erasing. Erase all history, in the grown-up panel, erases every session of the selected child. Remove, in the grown-up panel's Profiles section, erases a child entirely; the last child on the iPad cannot be removed. Deleting the app erases everything.
Changes. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the app's copy changes with it.

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does no tracking, and it loads nothing from anyone else. If you write to us with the form on the support page, your name, email address and message go through Web3Forms, a form service, to our inbox, and we use them only to answer you. Nothing else from this website is stored. Vercel, the company that hosts these pages, handles each visit in order to deliver the page, as any web host does.
